The types of lions that still exist


Yore deployment lion (Panthera leo) covering the whole of Africa, Europe, the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. But the Lions are now found only in Africa and a small part of India. This is mostly due to uncontrolled hunting to take his skin.
Currently still left about 6 subspecies of lion and types of them already can not we meet again in the wild. Here are some types of lions that still exist today:
1. Lion of Persia
Also known as the Asian lion or lion India. Scattered from Turkish territory, Southwest Asia, India to Pakistan. Large size and active during the day makes it easier hunted lions than Tiger or Leopard. Currently there are only about 400 lions India which is located near the Gir forest, India.
2. West African lion
Judging from its name, this lion can be found in the West African region. Stretching from Senegal to Central African Republic.
3. Lions Masai
Beast is also known as the Lion Tzavo can be found in East Africa, including Ethiopia and Kenya to Tanzania and Mozambique.
4. Lion Kalanga
Also known as African Lion Southwestern. Can be found in the southwest of West Africa include Namibia, Botswana, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
5. Lion Transvaal
Can be found in the Transvaal, South East Africa, including the Kruger National Park.
6. The Barbary lion
Lions of this type is not to be found in the wild. In fact, already considered extinct. But at the zoo Rabat, Morocco, there are about 90 lions that have characteristics similar to the Barbary lion.
